Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for optimizing staff and financial resources through streamlined deployment and management of all activities related to project implementation and support work. Responsible for leading Project Teams towards successful implementation of a broad array of projects across the enterprise.

Job Duties

  • Develop and continuously improve project governance processes
  • Produce regular management reporting of project data
  • Liaise with PSI Executive & Management teams to ensure accurate prioritization of PSI business requirements
  • Liaise with all PSI teams to coordinate the implementation of PSI business requirements
  • Coordinate implementations and facilitate communication with business staff
  • Produce regular status reports and issue resolution
  • Maintain and communicate plans related to regularly scheduled releases
  • Implement systems and tools to automate and streamline project work
  • Implement and document project management policies & procedures
  • Direct PSI Services LLC internal projects as needed
  • Provide project management support for all other departments as needed
  • Review goods and services contracts for technical, functional and strategic fit
  • Conduct feasibility studies in preparation for recommendations of appropriate technology solutions to business problems/opportunities
  • Develop and conduct RFIs / RFPs for product and service procurement


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent experience in Project Management, Engineering, Professional
  • PMP, PMI-ACP preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in IT Project management or consulting; professional assessment industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Agile software development techniques and best practices
  • Solid Project Management experience utilizing multiple techniques and processes
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, listening and presentation (with sensitivity to confidential data)
  • Strong relationship and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Proficient in business process analysis and requirements definition
  • Experience in managing diverse vendors both big and small
  • Extensive experience in project management of web-based software solutions for clients
  • Ability to be a change agent, not a bureaucrat
  • Capable of performing and adapting in a fast-paced environment; juggle multiple assignments concurrently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously, often under time constraints and rapid changing circumstances never losing sight of overall vision and objective
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of staff in person and remotely
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and quality conscious
  • Position may require periods of non-traditional hours including evenings or weekends on occasion
  • Minimal travel may be required
